Frequently Asked Questions
Mo Ganji One-Line Tattoos

Welcome to the FAQ section. Here you’ll find answers about booking a tattoo, requesting a custom one-line design, and caring for your new ink. As a Berlin-based artist known for minimalist one-line tattoos, my goal is to make the process clear and stress-free. Whether this is your first tattoo or an addition to your collection, these tips and details will guide you through the entire process, from the first message to long-term tattoo care.

How much does a tattoo cost?

Pricing depends on the concept, size, placement, and the level of detail a single, continuous line needs to communicate the idea. A minimal motif on the forearm requires different planning than a larger one-line composition that flows across the upper arm or back. Because one-line tattoos emphasize clarity, balance, and negative space, I’ll evaluate how the line moves with your anatomy before quoting a price.

The best way to receive an estimate is to contact me with a brief description of your idea, preferred placement, and any references you feel capture the mood or symbolism. I’ll reply with guidance and a price range so you can decide how to proceed with booking a tattoo. Transparent communication is part of my process; if a concept could be simplified to fit your budget without losing meaning, I’ll let you know.

How far in advance can I book an appointment?

I usually book appointments up to 10 weeks in advance. This helps me organize design time, studio availability, and occasional guest spots. If you’re planning further ahead, feel free to send a request—I can place you on a waiting list and let you know as soon as a slot opens.

Life happens: reschedules and cancellations occur, so if your timing is flexible, mention that in your message. You can also keep an eye on my site and social channels for short-notice opportunities. When booking we’ll confirm the design direction (or discuss a custom one-line design), estimated session time, and any preparation needed so the day runs smoothly.

Can I use one of your designs?

All of my designs are one-of-a-kind and will never be recreated or reused. Please respect the copyright and the integrity of my work — copying or imitating my designs is not permitted. This protects the uniqueness of every client’s tattoo and preserves what makes minimalist one-line tattoos special: a personal story told through a single, uninterrupted line.

If you love a motif from my gallery, we can talk about what resonates with you and develop a new, original composition that carries similar emotion without repeating an existing piece.

Want to request your own custom one-line design? Submit your idea and I’ll guide you through concept, sizing, and placement so it truly fits you.

Are there areas of the body you don’t tattoo?

Yes — I don’t tattoo hands, feet, ribcages, or skulls. These areas present challenges for fine, continuous lines: the skin can be too mobile or textured, healing is unpredictable, and long-term clarity often suffers.

Because the essence of a one-line piece is precision and flow, placing it where the line can age cleanly is crucial. If your heart is set on a visible placement, we can explore alternatives that still honor the idea—forearm, upper arm, shoulder, or calf often provide a better surface for long-lasting fine line work.

During booking, I’ll advise on options so your tattoo remains crisp and readable over time.

Are you visiting my country, city, or any tattoo conventions?

When I confirm guest spots or convention appearances, I announce them on my website and via social media. If you’re hoping to catch me outside Berlin, follow along for updates and check in periodically. Dates and locations are shared as early as possible so you can plan ahead.

If you’d rather not wait, you can always start with a custom one-line designrequest and get the artwork created for tattooing by a trusted local artist. That way, your idea moves forward even if travel or scheduling makes booking a tattoo in Berlin difficult at the moment.

How long does a fine line tattoo take to heal?

Most fine line tattoos heal in 2–4 weeks, depending on placement, skin, and aftercare. Expect the first days to feel tight and slightly sensitive as the line settles. Around week one, the surface may flake lightly—avoid picking so the healed line remains smooth.

Sun exposure and friction are the main enemies of early healing; protect your tattoo and keep it clean. Remember that healing continues beneath the surface after it looks “done,” so treat it gently for the full four weeks. Clean technique in the studio and consistent tattoo care at home work together to preserve the sharp, minimalist character of one-line tattoos.

How do I take care of my tattoo afterward?

Please read the full Tattoo Aftercare Guide for step-by-step instructions, but here’s an overview.
