World Piece – A Global One-Line Tattoo Art Project by Mo Ganji

A chapter of tattoo history.
World Piece – A Global One-Line Tattoo Art Project by Mo Ganji is widely recognized as one of the most ambitious collaborations in tattoo history.
Created in partnership with Momondo, this project brought together 61 people from around the world, each carrying a unique segment of a single minimalist line. Together, they form one continuous artwork that lives across many bodies, yet speaks with one voice.
The idea behind World Piece was born from a belief in human connection that goes beyond borders, cultures, and languages. Each tattoo functions as an individual piece of art, but only in combination with the others does its full symbolic power emerge: visually striking, emotionally resonant, and globally unifying.
This project is a reminder that while we are all different, we are never truly separate. A single line, carefully drawn and carried by many, becomes a universal symbol of unity. It is both a minimalist design and a profound statement about what connects us as human beings.
By designing World Piece, Berlin-based artist Mo Ganji demonstrated that tattoo art can be more than personal expression — it can also be a shared experience, a bridge between strangers, and a living testimony to our common humanity.
Drawn with one continuous line. Carried by many. Connected as one.
